Just got a call from another agent who has a newish construction contemporary home coming on the market soon in Eanes ISD in west Austin.  Home is on a cul-de-sac, has over 6000 square feet, spa, pool, “top of the line everything”, on about an acre lot.  I’m supposed to go check it out tomorrow…if it’s hot I’ll email it out to my preferred buyers first, then update it on our Austin modern homes list…or call me if you want to discuss it.

Great Modern Home Sites in Austin

I spent most of the last 5 days in my car looking for the best lots to build on in west Austin, Eanes ISD, and some in the southwest corridor out past Circle C.  There are some really nice building sites out there right now.  I also spoke with at least a dozen different Austin modern home builders in the last few days.  Not much in the way of spec homes right now, sadly…though there are a few here and there…nothing like a few years back, even last year.  There are some surpising new (cheaper) ways to build I’m finding.  Also caught up with a couple Austin construction lenders…money is still tight but there are programs for one-time close and conventional lot+construction financing.  Looks like this year I’ll be spending half my time at construction sites, looking at dirt and going over architect plans and drawings…should be a fun year!  (As a side note, I will be previewing a non-listed Travis Heights modern remodel tomorrow…it might be coming on the market for lease maybe around $3200/month and maybe for sale around $500k….more details after I see it tomorrow.)
